ONTESTS HAVE BEEN an integral part of the CFCP, Inc. activities for many years. They are intended to encourage the writing and submission of good poetry. Presently, two separate contests are open to both members and the public at large.

The contests were held annually, one for grades 7 through 12 and one for all ages, with the winners announced, their poems read at a public session, and prize-winning poems published in booklets provided at the convention.

After a four-year interruption,
CFCP, Inc. began offering contests again in 2018.

While continuing to hold the two contests for winter-spring 2023, CFCP,
Inc. is moving to an all-online system of publicizing the contests and then announcing the winners and publishing the winning poems, through the use of 'Zoom' to provide for public readings.

        2024 Student Contest Entry Form

        There will be no Annual Contest for 2024.
        Please let us know if you would like us to sponsor
        an Annual Contest for 2025 by sending a message
        to that effect to: Annual Contest Chair.

We have prepared a set of Contest Guidelines with the youthful contestant in mind, but these suggestions may be helpful for everyone. Also, aimed at our adult contestants, is an article on Judging Poetry.
